I'm back..

I have been busy being involed spreading truth. Spending my days "fact checking" the lies I see on facebook. I'm getting involved in my community. I'm friends with a local newspaper publisher and that can be entertaning. I get preachy at times because I see too much religion claiming to be "Chrisitan" yet not living or practicing true Christian values. I write long rambling entries on facebook that I should be doing here. I might go back over some of my facebook rants and repost here as they might find favor with my limited audience. Speaking of audience, that is why I am on facebook and twitter. So many people have left Live Journal and I've linked up with them on other social media. I'm rambling right now, it is obvious. My mind is running as fast as I can, sometimes my keboard can't keep up. I'm rigth now sitting in our community cafe, an enterprise started in our community hall.  We have a talented Thai chef, good food, and some super fast fiber optic rural wifi. Yes, even out in the sticks we have 50 mps speed. I'll return. I promise.

all about classified documents and the handling of such

There has been a lot of discussion about Hillary's personal server and the handling of classified documents. Here is my take on the subject.

One thing about classified documents. I worked for years with documents that were highly classified. There were many case where items were over classified, in other words, someone made something Top Secret that should have been not higher than Confidential. Most of the time this was because the originator was too lazy to consult the guidelines. From what I have seen from the released emails, these classified documents were not handled properly by the originator leading to mishandling. Before the electronic era there were very strict handling instructions. You had a cover sheet, you had the classification clearly marked at the top and bottom of each page. The intelligence agencies need to return to an adaption of these practices in electronic form.

Let's make America...

If what I post inspired one person to think I have made a contribution to society. If I open one closed mind it will be a miracle. We have become a society of fear and suspicion. Therefore we now fail to communicate or compromise. Reason has become a casualty of a media that has poisoned the well of compassion. Rather than a country of immigrants we now see our country as a white nation. Unfortunately we are changing. Some people are calling themselves Americans as if that was some race. American is black, white, yellow, brown and every other color of mankind. American is a Christian a Muslim, a Jew, a Jane, a Buddhist, a Hindu. It is many religions living under the guarantee of the First Amendment. People come here to live in freedom, to flee despots, to give their children a future. Seems a lot of people are confused. They have never struggled to stay alive. They do not know what war is. We need to remember that America is already great. It will only get greater if we follow the principles set down by our forefathers. All men (and women) are created equal, endowed by their creator (be it god, Allah, Vishnu or whatever) with life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That means they want to live free, of hate, of fear, and discrimination.

In recent news a GOP office in North Carolina was firebombed. It reminded me of something.

I spent a few years in Berlin. I was able to study the rise if Hitler. The Berliner Morgenpost newspaper had a massive archive you could access. They published all through the war. The photos were stunning. You get a better perspective when you are standing in front of the burnt out Reichstag. Now that Germany is united it had been rebuilt. The scars of war are disappearing but the German people are vigilant. They do not wish to see a rise of Nazism again.

I've participated in many a protest...

Anyone who thinks protest is wrong needs to study the Constitution. It's all part of free speech. If you don't like it then maybe you should consider moving to Russia. I have heard they have a strong leader who doesn't tolerate dissent.
