I'm facing the prospect that I may become the caregiver for my parent's in their older years. Mom had cancer a year ago, is holding her own right now. Now I'm facing a father that is become forgetful at 81, waiting for the doctor to find out why. The real process will be moving them from their place to something they like that is closer and managing their affairs. Wish me luck.

This is very difficult stuff. My parents are remarkably healthy at 75, but the 80's loom large. I guess I should just appreciate their good health now and not worry too much about the future.

Do you have any siblings that might be able to help?

Yes, I'll have a sister who can and will help, but I know it will not be easy, especially on my Mom, they have been married for 55 years. I want to thank you for caring.
