It seems that after the Supreme Court made a decision on Citizens United, the floodgates opened and corporatism took control. Now they are dropping the curtain and will be doing direct donations to candidates, as they could really give a damn what the people think.  The American Petroleum Institute know we are adicted to their product so they will ignore any and all the noise the public might make, because they know the people don't really count anymore. Corporatism has won the battle, but they should tread with caution because the war has just started.
