curmugeonThe 'reverend wright' smear ads were on last night during prime time offered by the ironically named 'goptrust'(who, in their right mind would ever trust the GOP). I guess the RNC made their own 527 when no one else would do it for them.
The evangelicals are having a big gathering in San Diego (The Call) to put forth a last drive for Yes On 8 (maybe they ought to call it for what it is Yes On Hate). I saw a demonstrator yesterday holding an 'Yes On 8" sign with the Yes covered by the word NO.... I've been tempted to stop and deface all those signs with a stencil and change them from yes to no.
Let's all hope and pray (for all my friends who are agnostic or atheist, send positive energy) that Obama wins. I can see nothing good in a McCain/Palin presidency. All we will change will be that "King George" becomes "King John". If McCain wins maybe we need to give serious thought to revolution, or at least start working for real democracy, the end of the electoral college and the direct vote for president. I know I will not be happy and will let Congress know that I expect them to stand up to him, to ignore any veto threat from him, and to never conform any appointments from the White House.
I'll make some calls to Pennsylvania today, and on Monday during my lunch hour. We must win for our future....and I got to look up the phone number of the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles....just in case.
