Freedom of Religion, while being one of the cornerstones of this country also means Freedom from Religion. Let's keep the Church and the State separate.
When religion enters the society through initiative campaigns or the ballot box, it has crossed that line. I have no objection of people voting based on their moral or religious convictions but I do object to clergy and/or church's advocating their position on billboards, advertising, or political speech.
I believe in God, but I don't see that that gives me a right to tell other people how to worship their deity/supreme being. My 'religion' is a very personal matter. If judgment is to be made on the merits of any matter, that is between me and my God, and I won't be telling others how to believe.
I have friends who are agnostic, atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, pagan, and who knows what else. I respect them as people, and don't disrespect their belief systems.
Let's keep the Church and Government separate.
