Today I had time and energy to survey the damage from the last storm. The heavy wet snow brought down or severely damaged many trees. I would say this was most destructive storm we have had in years. As a result I'll have a bunch of firewood. First I have to get enough snow to melt and a road open to make passage from the house out to a cleared road possible. Unfortunately my hernia is acting up, so I have to keep the snow shoveling to a minimum. Surgery is in February, I don't want to go there sooner.
