Things I would rather be doing are put aside... I'll spend the day with Mom, as she is being (acting) like a little kid, being a pain for the nurses and doctors, refusing to cooperate. Thus I'll be there to hold her hand and scold her when she acts out. This is going to be a fun day.

I wonder about giving yourself a break here, and letting them handle the difficulties. You really do deserve a break, and they are trained to handle people like her.

I just don't think it is fair that you have to endure so much. I know that the elderly often become like "little children," spoiled ones at that, and I think the doctors and nurses should deal with her while she's there and give you a break. Take care!
