Be sure to keep the tires inflated, and as most of your riding will be pavement, I think they inflate to 65 psi. Be sure to lock it, as the seat and wheels are quick release so thieves will take them if not locked. The bike will serve you well, its top line stuff. I just got tired of constantly moving it out of the way and I know you'll use it.
