The Republican objective is to return to power. That's it. It's not to help the economy or this country. It's to help themselves. The way to do this is to disrupt any proposals by the Democrats so that any stimulus package fails. That way they can say "I told you so" and hope to pick up votes from those who lose faith in Obama.
I wonder what the minimum bid for California will be...
