I got to do some work around the place, I got wood to cut, trees to cut down, a barn to clean, and I want to go fishing. Now you know why I want to retire.

Yeah, I got a lot of deferred maintenance to do. A lot of things need fixing, painting, or general repair.

It's not uncommon to be even more busy during your retirement than when you were actually working. My former supervisor had retired a few years ago. My coworker who is good friends with her mentioned that she now has to book time to go to dinner with her /weeks/ in advance.

So, you think this may be the beginning but it's not. My father is still finding things to do that needs to be done around the home and he's been retired for five years now. LOL

That is what I see for my retirement, more work than work is now. Much of the work will be done willingly, but there are a few things I'll do because I have to not because I want to.
