curmugeonTime, something you have after you retire. Time to think, time to think too much sometimes.
Money, something you conserve when living on a fixed income. Some people already have that mastered, I have to learn to do it better.
Such is my life lately. I've been working out the kinks as I go along. Living where I do life is much different than in suburbia or the city. It's 8 miles to the post office, we have no inexpensive broadband (I am working on a solution as we do have a couple of wireless providers that work locally). I need to upgrade my satellite system, as it an early version of DirecTV and has no DVR (I need a DVR and possibly HD)
I got a motorcycle (1981 Honda CX500 Sport) to return to the road, it has been sitting idle for too long. It will also help with gas costs.
My bicycle (a Gary Fisher Sugar 4+) is my stress express, a way to work out the kinks in life, mostly mental, some physical. Got new tires for that, and started cleaning it. Got a few miles under my belt, and in my locale any miles will be a workout (4000+ Ft above sea level, and not much flat around here).
Thinking green.... thinking rainwater havesting, drip irrigation, solar pre-heater for hot water, a worm farm and compost pit, etc.
Got to sell my "slightly used" Saturn Vue (251,000 + miles) after I fix a half shaft that is going out. I'm thinking it should bring some money as it is a 2004 and gets an easy 26 mpg. Got to do some maintenance on my 2004 Nissan Frontier.
Got to work on a reduction of the camera inventory and take the proceeds to maybe do some changes. I have ancient Nikon on the film side and good Canon SLR's on the digital side. Still have a knock around Sony 'prosumer' camera always in the truck. I need to make changes.
