good morning world

The puppies are fed, and the coffee is heating. Reading the email folder, a lot to think about.
The Mathew Sheppard Act has passed in the Senate and is now going to Obama's desk. It will be one large step in the battle against hate.
The corporate powers want to gut the Employee Free Choice Act and the lackeys in Congress are showing their true colors. It will be that way as long as we vote for the rich and their supporters for Congress. The working class has to rise up and take the power.
As for the health care debate, I'm paying $425 plus $15 every time I see the doctor. That is too much for most people, it takes a big chunk of my retirement. I want a public option, something like Medicare, as an option. The Kucinich amendment to allow states to establish single payer health care plans is good, but more has to be done to control costs, as these single payer plans have to be something the states can make affordable. So, everyone has to get off their asses and let Congress know we want a single payer health option for all.
Have been reading a e-newsletter called Too Much and it gives good insight into what needs changing in this country. We need to support these voices in the wilderness.
I'm looking at my past, (I have a somewhat checkered past), and wondering how to write about it. Sometimes skeletons should remain in the closet, sometimes they need to see the light of day then be given a proper burial. The big thing I cannot write about is my time working for the Defense Intelligence Agency while serving in the Air Force. Most was classified at levels so high that even Richard Nixon (president while I served) did not have a 'need to know;. Some great stories there. Some of my 'off-duty' stuff might leak out, especially my adventures in Berlin (West) during the 'cold war'.
Now for a cup of coffee...
