Found the best little bike shop, personal service, great prices, a gem.  The Bicycle Route on Pinecrest in Idyllwild is the place to go if in need of repair. The big boys (all the shops in Temecula) wanted almost $60 for a tune-up and I got it done for $15. I didn't have to wait a week either.

He keeps his overhead down. The shop is the size of a one car garage and is ajaccent to his house (an Idyllwild business tradition), he is the only employee, in fact when you want service you knock on his house door if he is not in the shop, and he charges only what he thinks is fair. He is retired, and this is more of an extra money project. He is the gathering place for weekly mountain bike rides in the area. And yes, he participates in civic events. He is a long time resdient of Idyllwild. He, and other businesses in Idyllwild is what makes the community unique.
