the morning before the storm...

Clouds are gathering for the coming storm. They are saying up to 20" of rain this coming week.  Snow will go as low as 5000 ft... High winds... 25 foot surf... so today is do shopping for the week, batten down the hatches, make sure the woodbox is full, have a few tarps for emergencies, make sure to prep a 'go bag', break out the snow shoes.

Yes, it is going to be wet...

20 inches! That does sound like a time to hunker down. Perhaps it will create great photo ops.

It will be wet, some flash floods, and around here we will have mud flowing from some burn areas. I live about a quarter mile off the pavement so I'll be slip slidding along my road. It will be an el nino' winter.
