thinking...

This is when life gets dangerous... some things are best just 'accepted'.

Have you said 'I love you' to your parents lately?
When you purchase goods, are you driven by price or the quality of service?
Are you happy with your healthcare?
Do you feel that your Congressperson represents you?
Have you ever lived poor?
Are you carrying a hidden bias against another race or ethnicity?

I'm still thinking....

1. Both my parents are dead but I think of them daily and do give thanks for the love I still feel from them. I feel their support and am grateful for it. I feel my love for them and believe I share that love with them or the universe or whatever it all is.

2. I am usually driven by quality of service over price. I have that luxury and want to support my local businesses so I do not shop at big stores. Also, I easily overwhelm and to walk into a huge store like Wal-Mart is to make me physically ill.

3. I am happy with my health care. My book exclaims over the treatment I received. I have no complaints. We have a pocket of angels who deal with cancer treatment in Marin.

4. Lynn Woolsey does an excellent job of representing me. I am also happy with Barbara Boxer. I do not always agree with Diane Feinstein, but she has a lot of clout for CA so I support her.

5. I have lived on a very tight budget at times but never poor.

6. I am not aware of any hidden bias against another race or ethnicity. A friend of mine has created The Untraining and says we don't know what we may carry but I haven't gone through her workshop and so have no conscious awareness of a bias.

Thank you for the opportunity to reflect. I keep reading that gratitude is the most important attribute we can cultivate and this gave me moments for that.

So true... my health insurance increased only 10%... but for inflation, I see it every day as prices creep up, on food, gasoline, etc. Living on a 'fixed income' as it is, I'm doing well now, but not in the future.
