curmugeonWe have 'hope', or at least that is the message from Kerry/Edwards. Is that hope that we have a democracy? Hope that the First Amendment still lives? Hope that an anti-war movement still exists? Hope that we haven't been fooled again?
We have in this country a situation that will not improve until it becomes so bad that a large group rises up and creates the start of a revolutionary movement this country so needs. I now look at some groups with contempt, in that they sold their souls for the interest of a party that claims to be all inclusive, but has been hijacked by corporate interests.
We have a few glimmers of hope, Barack Obama, a bright articulate man, who sounds good. He will be swallowed up by the monster that is called the body politic. He will be taught to follow, not lead. He will never get his due. He is a shining star now, because the party can use him. If he was to go to far with his ideals, there are those who will abuse him. We cannot have a black man speaking of unity, of justice, of equality. Look back at others who have done so. I pray for the man, he is living in a dangerous world where there are people who are not ready for his message. His honesty will be the target of every dirty trick that the establishment can muster.
