winter arrived with a vengeance...

It is cold (below 20 degrees) and I have snow, about 6 inches on the ground. Considering I'm at 4000 feet and have to climb to 4800 feet to leave this valley, I'll be here for a while.

The pipes froze last night so I'm iving on bottled water and the 10 gallons of spring water I have. The stove is trying to get hot, the coffee is done. A soup is cooking in the crockpot.

It showed up here last night, however briefly, and painted the world with quiet and white. Then left just as quickly.

After my pipes froze and burst 5 years ago I added heat-ropes to the pipes that needed it the most, and have not had the pipes freeze since.
