low power fm stations

True community radio is coming. The FCC has started the process where low power FM radio licenses will be offered to non-profit groups to operate radio stations. Start up costs are about $10,000 and monthly costs after that may run $1000. If this works for you, get working on it, as I figure the airwaves will be crowded with religious stations if other groups don't step up. Look to the Prometheus Radio Project for guidance.. they can help. We need community radio, not the corporate drivel we get now.
