The Saga Continues..

Spent the better part of the day with my parents. It's sad to realize they are getting old and are suffering the consequences. Helped pick up a bale of straw as one of the goats is about to kid, made sure the mail was picked up at the post office, a 8 mile round trip. Paid the post office box fee so they will still have that. Spent a lot of time talking to them, finding out how they feel and talking about the next steps in this trip through time. OH, got their cel phone working and on a plan I'll pay for.

Now to find homes for animals, most of the chickens have gone, got two goats now, maybe a couple more kids in a few days, got one springer spaniel that is blind and deaf, got one big black lab male to find a home for. Next weekend I'll move my motorhome down there, and help cleanup some of the accumulation out behind the barn. Ah, to live in the country, they have lived there for over 25 years.

I'll be able to tell all about how I spent my summer on the farm. I'll miss the place once I get them moved.
