End of the year...
May. 14th, 2002 06:42 pmAt work the fiscal year is winding down, and things have yet to be done. Being pressed on multiple fronts, got a project they are wanting completed, but at the same time I have other people wanting me to update data, fill out the mountains of paperwork that other agencies want to have to qualify for using their grant money, people asking how to do this and how to do that...too many demands and too little time.
On top of that I'm going to look into using the family leave provisions of my labor contract to take some time off to care for my Dad and Mom. I don't think they will refuse that!
Tomorrow will be a marathon session at work and one of the interns is going to discover what it is like to walk miles (about 6 miles) of city streets in the hot sun. He is going to learn how to inspect pavement, that hot asphalt that covers our streets. Hopefully the weather is a bit cooler or we may have to take many breaks. (I guess he won't mind)
Let's see what tomorrow brings.
