A visit to Starbucks..

Just returned from my local Starbucks, got a Grande Sumatra, something to top off the day, and yes, I'll sleep soundly. While I was there, I watched as a young lady, about 7 years old, brought in some books to donate to their campaign to gather books for others. I thought this was great that the parent brought their child to donate the books, but also it was great that Starbucks is making an effort to foster reading.

Is it true?

I heard Bush briefly on CNN today saying something about using our power to make the world a safer place and to spread democracy to those who hunger for freedom. Then I read of the evangelicals working to enter Iraq to spread humanitarian aid and to 'convert' those from Islam to Christianity. I have heard that the evangelicals want Armageddon, they want the 'end times', they want to hasten the time when Christ is foretold to come and rule this earth. Some of the evangelicals I know, see this war as a religious war, saying that 'our' God is the one God and not the same God as Allah.

When will my opposition to the present administration (that of George Dubya) get me labeled as an enemy combatant and get me a free stay in solitary confinement held without explanation or the right to an attorney or a phone call?
