The last week..
May. 8th, 2003 07:59 pmBeen a while since I posted. My immediate supervisor is out after knee surgery, I've been doing the bidding of his supervisor, playing the role of administrative assistant.
I find too many people as they advance up the promotional ladder seem to lose the ability to do simple things. They even lose the ability to read instructions. Some become outright incompetent.
I'm very glad that Salaam Pax is posting again. I prayed he would survive. I find his commentary much more valuable than any newscast, as the view is from the Iraqi side, not the media spin.
Bush and company are throwing their weight around, but are losing their battle, as the dollar slips against the Euro. Hey, George...it's the economy stupid! And, if nothing is done soon, we will become as bad as Israel, with double digit inflation. Maybe that is what he wants..to make the United States so much like Israel that we can be hated by all the Muslim world. He's getting there.
All for the moment, back to reading my friends journals.
