what is going on here..
Aug. 19th, 2003 09:25 pmI constantly wonder why we started something we couldn't finish? Were the neocons (and a few former ex-cons, poindexter) so sure of their theories that they were willing to risk our democracy for some oil. Presently Dubya is on 'vacation', we have ruined a country with anarchy, depleted uranium (so much for raising children in the future), and looting, all the while the neocons were dancing around their desks in the pentagon. What we haven't destroyed, will be destroyed by the lack of civilization left in our wake. Is this the compassion of Dubya?
We don't understand their culture or society. We try to impose our system (not so perfect) on them. I fear that we have created 23 million new recruits for Al-Qaida.
Someday justice will prevail and there will be a war crimes trial, and if not in our lifetime, then history will tell of the fall of the oldest democracy on earth because a few who lost the definition.
Anyone for starting a new constitutional convention?
