I guess I'll take a wait and see approach to the new 'owners' of LJ. I looked over the terms of service and like most, there are a lot of words that make it easy to change terms at any time. Also, there are a lot of items that could be used to limit freedom of speech and lead to a 'politically correct' journaling environment for the 'kiddies'. I guess 'law and order' has to come to the 'wild west', but what may be needed to to have some competition in the blogging arena. The war has started, Google, MSN, etc. see this as the next wave, so Brad's move was just a corporate 'circling of the wagons', a defensive measure for Sixapart, to insure they were not gobbled up by Gates and company. Now to ready myself for my mundane job. To the showers!
....and when I do that I get crazy ideas. I'm on a quest. It seems that a few years ago when playing with genealogy, I made it back to my great-grandfather and then things got confusing. So, here goes.

There is a town called Eden, a small town on Mount Desert Island on the Maine coast. My great-grandfather was possibly born there, I know he lived there. His name was Tyler Stanley. He had a son Lionel, and another son, Carroll. Tyler had at least three brothers, I never was able to find out much about them. I'll be working on my own search, but if anyone happens to know of anyone who lives there, I'd like to hear from them.

I'll look around LJ and see what other places I might post this.

Later...
