To be Republican...
Oct. 26th, 2006 06:50 amI guess it takes a certain type of person to be a Republican. I see the ads placed on TV this election season and I try to imagine who these people are who live by the beliefs they profess in their rhetoric. First, they must be ignorant, yes, ignorant. They watch F__ News, and think they are informed. They have a nationalistic and warped world view. They fear a small group of Islamic nuts who struck while they were asleep at the switch. They lie, in fact they live for the lie. I have yet to hear truth from the mouth of a Republican. Sure, Democrats lie, but we all knew that. In fact, all politicians lie, but Republicans have made it their mantra. The Big Lie. Along with their lying, they steal, they cheat, they are the poster child o evil. They are really bad at it too. The only real bad thing is that we all suffer because of their lies, and corruption. No, I hate Republicans. Yes, hate is a strong word, but I hate Republicans. Anyone who can claim to be a member of that party is someone I hate.
We need change. I don't see too much hope in the Democrats that are running, they are just thee same immoral souls with a different label. Very few of them can be held in high regard, but they will make change happen. We need a leader, a true leader, on par with John F. Kennedy. We may have one hope in Barack Obama, but he has yet to prove his moral leadership. We can hope, and hope we will.
Let us all vote, and pray, and dream, of a better tomorrow. Dreams are all we have left.
