What Israel has become...

It seems that Israel has become a Nazi State. They have embraced a radical
right wing party all in a bid for holding power. Olmert has sold his soul to
the devil, and on top of the lies of the IDF, can now be considered a war
criminal in the purest sense. Is this but one more sign of the Apocalypse?
Only now have the horrors of the IDF been revealed, the use of cluster
bombs, phosphorus weapons, and experimental low level nuclear weapons. I
once could say I supported Israel's right to exist, but the behavior of late
will make me reconsider that. The inhumanity of Israel and the lack of calls
for justice for victims of the IDF tend to make me more sympathetic to the
cause of victims of the IDF.

Things to do to piss off Republicans...

Let's see how many things I can think of that might piss off a Republican.....

You can go see Death of a President.

You can vote Democratic

You can vote... and demand a paper ballot.

You can belong to MoveOn, the ACLU, and Veterans for Peace.

You can file FOIA requests.

You can write letters to the editor saying Bush is an asshole (you have to use another term or it may not get printed).

You can tell a child how to opt out of being recruited in school by the U.S. Military

Do you really think...???

I'm having my doubts about how things might go if the election is close. I don't think the transition from Republican to Democrat will be smooth or peaceful. We have a leader, drunk with power, who will do everything to 'stay the course', in other words, he will complete his agenda using signing statements and executive orders. No, I don't trust the man or any of his staff to act within the guidelines of the Constitution. He is one step away from being emperor and he thinks he is King George. He has the support of the military-industrial complex, the dumb evangelicals, the rich,  and the Pentagon. I think we may see in the next few weeks how brutal he can be in his quest to remain in power. Watch for arrests, internments, and martial law. Watch for whole cities to be placed under martial law as he takes his enemies out, one by one, under the guise of a 'war on terror'. Congress has given him too much power, and he will bend, twist, and lie to justify his actions. Be ready to organize general strikes, and civil disobedience in response to his 'war on democracy'.
