We save the banks while they foreclose on the borrowers. Isn't it wrong
to reward the lender who created the crisis yet leave the buyer to be
hung out to dry? The 'victim' is not the banker.

to borrow a phrase...

"Greed is good...." and the taxpayers (you and me) will save
capitalism... doesn't this demonstrate that capitalism in its
unregulated form doesn't work? Is it that greed wins?

Might as well start now... this economy is in shambles.  Why not start Christmas early?

The whole capitalist system is breaking down. The powers that be are scrambling to salvage the United States economy. We have become a third world country. We will be at the mercy of the world, and you now know how important it is to have friendly relations with other countries. Things will shake out over time, we will have to wait and see where this goes, but it isn't going to be pretty. What will follow this crash? God only knows, and certainly not the wizards of Wall Street. The Neocons have one, they have reduced the government to a whimpering weakling they can (in the words of Grover Norquist) "drag to the bathroom and drown in the bathtub".
