war crimes and Israeli terrorism

It seems the Israeli Defense Forces are targeting hospitals, schools, and apartments. The use of phosphorus weapons (shells and bombs) is outrageous. Snipers are killing people as they try to escape, and you can't tell me that women and children are Hamas combatants. No, we should end all arms sales to Israel, and place economic sanctions on Israel until such time that they pay for the damage inflicted on Gaza. War crimes have been committed, and all of what I see is the work of Israel, not Hamas. So, who is the terrorist state? Check out ingaza  for some horrific pictures of suffering and destruction.

In the public relations game Israel is losing ground. The people at the top talk a good game but on the battlefield the IDF are killing civilians in large numbers using every excuse they can think of to justify their actions. I read of the crimes committed when Israel fought Hezbollah, and now I read of more criminal activity in Gaza...

I'm somewhat sorry...

I gather some on my friends list may be upset by my ranting about the injustices of the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza... While I have many Jewish friends, many think the current policy of the Israeli government and the constant war is only making Hamas stronger.. that is probably the truth. I'm not anti-Jewish or pro Hamas, but what is happening in Gaza is criminal.

I'll stop posting about Gaza when we see peace in Gaza... and I don't see that happening soon.

almost Sunday...

It's late, watching the "Truman Show" on satellite...late night thoughts... life is a large play... and we are being played as suckers. Things are too good, start a crisis.... we exchange one crisis for another.... are our leaders just players?

Where we go in the next four years will be telling. I think we will find some things change, and others remain the same. I think we will exchange one war for another, we will be mired in Afghanistan much as the Russians were.  There will be no credit, we will really find out what "cash and carry" mean.. the number of homeless will increase dramatically. Food will become scarce... so will fuel. Health care will become something only the super rich or those in power can have...  I don't fear the future, I just think that the next four years are going to open the eyes of many people to the true power in this country. The capitalist dream failed when they got greedy. Now we will pay for their failure It is going to hurt, a lot. For us 'oldsters' we will say we told you so, for the youth, there is no future like the past, you will still be working to pay the power elite.

Such is life in 2009...
