the day...

Started slowly, after a long night, a late morning. A visit from the local Jehovah's Witnesses.... (they keep my Mom company and used to check on her for me, they will never convert her, she's a Catholic)....  did some insurance shopping and ended up being shocked at how much some companies charge (would you believe $3200 a year?)....  mailed off some bills... got a library card.... thinking I got to get rid of a very used Saturn Vue (2004, 250,000+ miles) ... yesterday took an excursion up and around Thomas Mountain (very offroad, and a definite 'E ticket' ride).... looked over the valley from very high up... and maybe I'll have to find the peak and stand on it... although there is a very sharp, quick drop from the peak to the valley below... spent some time this evening looking over the trail map for the Santa Rosa/San Jacinto National Monument....let's see what tomorrow brings... each day is a gift.
