The weekend...
Oct. 9th, 2011 07:46 pmSaturday I went to Los Angeles to do a bit of looking around..
There was OccupyLA (our local version of OccupyWallStreet) but in usual LA fashion, the cops were courteous, the weather was sunny and the city let them camp on the City Hall lawn. I may return sometime this week and spend the night. I also rode my bicycle around the area, visiting Olvera Street, Union Station, other places of note. By the way, be advised, Los Angeles is not flat, they have real hills. I was a fun morning.
Sunday, I returned to Los Angeles...
The day started with a Sunday morning at OccupyLA. Sharing coffee and conversation, good times. Sunday, there was Ciclavia... or CiLAvia in Los Angeles. The city shut down 10 iles of streets, from Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles, Little Tokyo, Olvera Street, Mid-Wilshire, Rampart, MacArthur Park, and Hollywood. Got a bunch of video to process from that ride. That is an event, if it comes to your town, do it.
