Nov. 23rd, 2011 08:54 amIn California we live in earthquake country... here is a scenario of what it will be like after the 'big one' in Southern California... take a look, do some thinking, and some planning, when it happens (and they say we have a 37% chance that it will in the next 30 years) you need to be prepared. Even though I live in a more active area, I expect to be shaken badly. I knpw that people around here will cope, bit in the cities it is going to be chaos. I live in a mobile home, and even this old mobile has had seismic upgrades, I have quake bracing under the coach that will mean that it will shake but might still be habitable after the main shock. So as you give thanks, think about those loved ones, and do a bit of preparation around the house. Know how to turn off the gas, how to shut of the electricity to prevent a fire. Have some supplies to get you through a week without leaving the house. Remember, to prepare for your pets too. You love them, so treat them to some preparedness.
