The concerns locally are about hundreds of illegal immigrant children and parents that are being dropped off at the local border patrol facilty. Part of the plan is to process these people and let them join family members already here. They are getting no support from the local "redneck/conservative/white" residents who are screaming loudly and blaming this on Obama of course. They are more willing to spend tens of millions of dollars to fly these people back to central america than just deal with it here. These people live in fear. Fear that their tax dollars might feed these peolle. Fear that these people are going to take American jobs. Fear they may become criminals as they are a l ready criminals for not crossing the border the "legal" way. People don't want to know that it is our appetite for drugs th at has created the violence that these people are fleeing. It us our support of corrupt regimes that force people to flee. We talk about our children's future and care what us going to be like. These parents in central america worry about their children's future and seeing nothing on their horizon send their children on a long and dangerous journey to "the land of the free". Maybe people need to change perspective and see things from both sides rather than using their narrow minds and nationalistic view and see this for what it us. This is the tip of the iceberg as massive migration will be the first sign of the devastating consequences of climate change. Better get used to it.
