We live in fear. It has become the American way. Consider this, we have had more Americans die from mass shootings than we gave lost to terrorism. What we fear is the constant barrage of fear the media gives us. The media is a tool. It is part propaganda and part psyops. Journalism is rare today in the media. Talking heads prevail spouting opinion and conjecture. Instilling division, hate, and fear. Truth has become rare. People are being brainwashed. Like some have said " you can't handle the truth". I find some people are so brainwashed that when confronted with facts and truth the shut down and their simple minds resort to name calling. It's like that little kid who screams his head off because he doesn't want to hear you tell him no..I've been seeking truth since the 70s. I have found it many times. Unfortunately most people just cannot accept it. The truth is that we have been fighting oil wars since Vietnam. Yes, Vietnam was an oil war. We don't fight for democracy or freedom, we fight to deny others those things. We overthrow democracies to install dictators or military juntas that allow us to steal resources for our corporate masters. When we invade a country they fight back and we call them insurgents. We've twisted the scenario that makes defending yourself from an invading foreign army a crime. We are the terrorists. Our people are the victims if that terrorism. We are being brainwashed in increasing numbers. Soon truth telling will be a crime. In some cases it already is when truth tellers like Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden are deemed to be criminals. I cry out that someday America awakens and discovers it has started from a moral path and decides to become a true beacon of freedom and democracy, not the state sponsors of terrorism it is today.
