real drama...

In Lebanon right now there is a battle raging for the survival of a democratic government struggling for survival against evil. It seem the goons from Syria have been killing their critics as fast as they can to avoid having to face justice in the international arena. Right now the government is holding. Syria will work hard to keep this from happening using their goons and Hezbolla. Meanwhile George H.W. Bush gets booed in Kuwait because of his dunce of a son. His son is struggling to find an ally in the Mideast, so he's going to Jordan. Also Dick Cheney is going to Saudi Arabia to find a friend. Meanwhile Iraq is going to hell and fast. I find it interesting that the news is about Black Friday and conspicuous consumption rather than what is happening that may impact our lives much more than a lack of Playstation 3's.
Maybe its a commentary on American Society, or what has become of it since Vietnam. We've grown soft, we've grown isolated, we have to realize we are living in the world, not in some isolated WalMart parking lot waiting for Black Friday. Wake up America and join the Real World (and I don't mean MTV).
Addendum: We have suffered the distortion of our language and culture. We have lost touch with reality, its not what you see on TV; we have lost touch with humanity, as we see the body count and have no feeling about the pain behind the numbers; we yearn for leadership and we get George W. Bush
