curmugeonIt seems the Republican'ts cannot even make up their mind and vote up or
down a proposal to draw down troop levels in Iraq. It seems puzzling to
me (maybe not) that they are so ardent in their support of the failed
policies of Dubya that if they had nay intestinal fortitude they would
be proud to vote against such a proposal. But, I forget, these are
Republican'ts... they cannot vote because Dubya won't let them. They
just sit on their fat asses in the Senate and House and kill time until
the next election when they can lie about Iraq and fool the dumb
Republican't voters. Hey, if they don't get re-elected, they can always
become lobbyists for some corporation that is in the energy sector or in
defense contracting. They'll still be working to collect corporate
welfare (subsides or military/industrial contracts) so they can stay on
the public dole.
