 This day, in the office, mind is elsewhere. Cold morning, it's like the heat has left the building. A hamburger for breakfast, the taste of onion lingers. Diet Coke, that's my morning caffeine fix.  The sound of the air circulating, the dumpsters being emptied, a few homeless stir in the predawn hours. A new year is dawning tomorrow, but will life change. We can only hope that a new year, a new beginning, a change in the destructive path we have been following. Love not hate, Peace not war. Think of our legacy, will it be something to be proud of or one of shame.
