Depression not depressed..

The plan for the time after the crash...
This is some thoughts and points to consider after the economy slides
into a depression. You notice I didn't say recession, I said depression.
The last time we had a depression was when banks and credit got out of
control and as banks failed, everything went to hell, quickly. Right now
we have a system in the federal reserve to supposedly prevent that, but
we also have a federal government that is shaky economically.
What do you do when the jobs start disappearing? How many people can say
their job is safe? Have you got a safe haven to ride this out?

Date: 2008-01-15 02:09 am (UTC)I'll get severance and social security is just around the corner, but I can't last for more than a few years here in NYC. The cost of living is just too high and moving costs are high, too.
So, for now, my plans are to worry.
