curmugeonIt's been too long since i made an entry here. Just returned from COMDEX, a real disappointment. If you wanted to see how dead the dot com economy was you just had to attend. Large displays of offshore talent, ready to do the work once done by the imported talent the industry was hollering for.
If you saw the displays, the PC was relegated to a minor role, the big thing was wireless, wireless everything. Don't have a life or any time to yourself, be connected 24/7. But all this lack of freedom comes at a price, the same connectivity can tell you your out of a job because the company your working for is now going offshore.
