this morning...
Feb. 15th, 2012 09:49 amNothing exciting here, it is cold, we might have snow, winter has returned with a vengeance. I'm feeling more normal this morning. I have already brought in more wood, worked at cleaning up the kitchen and will start a nice soup later.
Was talking to a friend this morning who is a victim of the economy. I could detect a bit of hopeless feelings, as the people with skills have to work retail to pay their mortgage. I'm sure glad I got out of the labor pool, even though living on a fixed income isn't so sweet either. I'm sure very few people have seen a raise in a long time, and I keep seeing healthcare costs rise, and have seen my income drop $150 a month since 2009. That might not sound like much but when you get just a small check, that is a lot, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel, becauuse I know the light I'm seeing is an oncoming train, and this economy is due for another train wreck.
I'm working to get to the point where everything I own can fit in a 10' by 10' storage unit and then I will try becoming a nomad for a time while I look at this country and decide where to live my final days. When that time comes I will be searching for something that may be impossible to find, but I'll keep looking at places that intrigue me.
Back to house and home, making a fire, and making a soup.
