these men need not be honored...
Feb. 6th, 2011 10:57 amToday Ronald Reagan would have been 100 yeas old, and would have been suffering from Alzheimer's for 9 years officially and probably 20 years unofficially. I see no reason to honor him, as he did nothing except start us down that slippery slope to the Conservative abyss we find ourselves confronting.
I also watch with glee as George W. Bush has to cancel a trip to Switzerland because the Europeans want to prosecute him for his war crimes. I hope he enjoys his future as he's hunted much as we hunted the Nazi war criminals after WWII.
Then I find it somewhat disturbing that Mubarak has held on and I don't trust any transition headed by the vice president Suleiman... he used to run the secret police and you are going to trust this man with democracy? We should be ashamed to be supporting this 'peaceful transition' as I see it as another way for Mubarak to slowly round up an kill the leaders of the opposition.
And finally, our own home grown plutocrats need to be paying close attention as what they are seeing in the Mid East may soon visit their front yard. The truth can set us free as soon as we have our own revolution. I don't think it will be as peaceful as we are much more heavily armed. Our last revolution wasn't too peaceful, and the next one will be a lot more bloody.
Dick Cheney seems more and more like Darth Vader. He's running on the best technology to keep him alive. I always thought he wasn't human, and now it is become more evident.
I cannot leave out my favorite oligarchs, the Koch brothers. These two men have a lot to lose and very little to gain. They will someday find themselves facing a higher authority and having little to say in defense of their cause.
Nothing more to say except I would not cross the street to help amy of these men and I would spit on their graves.
