Ireland is facing a bleak future because of a bunch of politicians who took provate debt and made it the debt of the nation, and to compund the problem, by adopting the Euro, they are now subject to the tyranny of the European Union. Paul Krugman does a good opinion piece on this crisis and places the blame where it belongs. Anyone want to hang a banker?

Isn't it somewhat disconcerting that it is the bankers who are destroying democracy in this world?
