The city I work for is one of the few cities who allow the 'safe and sane' fireworks sales in Orange County. A recent Grand Jury probe says these sales cost over $188,000 for extra police and fire suppression. Why is the city council still allowing sales and in fact is considering allowing the stands to have longer hours?

Maybe its time for a nearby city to sue the city for the additional costs they incur from these sales.
