to the future...

The snow has stopped for now...but it hasn't gotten any warmer outside. Right now it is hovering around 28 degrees  (f) and the skies are still gray. My adventures in cooking in the wood stove are going well, the stove brought the pot to a quick boil, and the back part of the stove makes for a nice simmer, so it will be soup for dinner. Before the snow fell I made a quick trip to the closest market (about 4 miles) and got some milk. A typical little market, with the usual rip off prices ($2.99 for a quart of milk).. The day is going well, and will get more interesting after nightfall. I can see that after these days of cold, time for a day trip to a hot pool... time to soak in some heat.

Right now I have 4 inches of snow on the deck, and it is still snowing.... snow day tomorrow. Good time for pictures tomorrow. 22 degrees outside....
