The homeless are lined up across the street for the noon meal.

The bankers are plotting the overthrow of the United States government.

We are all doomed to die in debtors prisons. (FEMA is presently building these holding facilities on military bases around the country).

Thank god I have a radar detector.

I got to call 21st Century (AIG)  tomorrow and cancel. I have to find another company first. AIG is a "dead man walking". I cannot with a clear conscience support anything associated with AIG. They are ripping us off big time. Let the company die then save the victims of their greed.

I wonder how much 'rest' I'll get between the pain and recovery next week?

We have a character crisis in this country. Dishonesty has been so rampant the last decade that honesty and integrity have been lost. Thank you George Bush.

I have a couple of CD editions of 'Rock Against Bush' I need to archive. It's history.

I also have a couple of anti-war cds.

I wonder if I could hake a business out of selling used cd's? I'd trade, sell and swap. I have about 400+ cds in my collection. Let's see ... 400 times $15 equals $6000... of course I never paid $15 for a CD.

You could sell your CDs but mostly I pay under $5 online. The advantage would be if you kept copies so had originals per se and since sellers always charge more for shipping than actual cost, maybe it would still be worth it.

I also think you might get good rest initially due to painkillers but are your concerns more that you're a care-giver and who will be caring for you?

Are they really building debtor's prisons?

I thought those ended with Dickens.

I don't think pain will be a problem, but I do think you need to take care of yourself and REST!!!!!

I wonder why the government keeps building detention centers ever since Katrina...

Sometimes I think I just can't stand it. Yes, I see what you are saying and what are we going to do with all these people. I keep reaching for a plausible scenario and can't find one.

I am still struggling to comprehend what is going on. I don't understand how the richest nation in the world could come to this so fast. Eight years and we are destroyed, and I pray Obama can turn it around. May this be so.

The whole neo-con philosophy is founded on the principle of reducing government to a point that it does not function giving the neo-cons the platform to rebuild society into the oligarchy and the working class with government seving the oligarchy. Bush did his best to further those goals, tax cuts to the rich, cuts to social programs, his attempt to destroy social security and medicare, and empire building. We now must recover from that.

What amazes me is how well the neo-cons convinced so many of the lower and middle class that they would benefit from this. I am still mind-boggled and wondering what they think now.

On the other hand, I see in reading Aaron Glantz's book that the troops no longer want to be there, and yet here we are, so we continue to be conned as to what the people might want, and we have a new president and we have spoken.

May all change now.
