1. Lose 20 pounds. If I exercise even a bit more than now (none) I should be able to do this..

2. Unclutter. I have a problem of keeping stuff to either read or review later. I also keep stuff related to hobbies, so the clutter has become overwhealming.

3. Stay in better touch with relatives--extended relativesl. I could be far better at this than I am.

4. Increase the things I do for others, whether it is donations to animal adoption groups, increased volunteer time, or other similar types of things.

5. Go to a star watch party. The party is usually just down the road, so this may happen.

6. Reach out to friends, even if it involves a phone call.

7. Mail out things I meant to mail out.

8. Take pictures of trains, lots of trains.

Not as good a list as some, but a set of goals none the less.
Bush is in the Mideast rattling swords and selling weapons to dictators. Its snowing in Maine right now, a lot. We are going to have a depression, you notice I didn't use the word recession, that is too mild. The economy is on the verge of collapse, so the time is right to start thinking about what kind of society we want when this one collapses.

The weather is improving, the economy is getting worse, prices are getting high and will go even higher, how many raises will you see next year? Are you ready to retire? There are a lot of questions that will be answered far too soon for most people's comfort. $100 a barrel? Let's try for $200 a barrel. Remember, what do you want to do with corn? Do you want biofuel or food, that is the question. Enough rambling, time to get back to work.
The plan for the time after the crash...

This is some thoughts and points to consider after the economy slides
into a depression. You notice I didn't say recession, I said depression.
The last time we had a depression was when banks and credit got out of
control and as banks failed, everything went to hell, quickly. Right now
we have a system in the federal reserve to supposedly prevent that, but
we also have a federal government that is shaky economically.

What do you do when the jobs start disappearing? How many people can say
their job is safe? Have you got a safe haven to ride this out?
