This article provides a perspective to dwell on... of being thrust into te job market at 59... seems that part of the problem with the current trend of job losses is that quite a few people are out the door long before they are ready to retire. I was lucky in that I could retire before the axe fell.
"Wine said the estimate of the proportion of gushing oil being collected is based on the government's contention that the containment cap is collecting 466,200 gallons of oil of the roughly 604,800 to 1,260,000 it believes is coming out daily.
Cutting the riser likely increased the flow of oil by 20 percent from the 504,000 to 1,050,000 gallons the government contends was coming out previously, Wine said."

IIndia is thinking of 'playing the numbers; and by doing so increasing the number of people living in poverty by 100 million.

Hey, they are learning the American Way... when the facts don't fit reality, just play the numbers. That is why when it comes to inflation they (the United States) doesn't include the cost of energy or food.

Got some pictures to share as soon as I upload. My new 'garage sale' bike (A Specialized Rockhopper Comp) is taking shape.. I'll assemble it, tune it, ride it, then later take it apart again, and paint it the brightest yellow I can find. Pictures will document the progress. (Like I really need another bike). Later I'll put some sweat into the other 'garage sale' bike, a Jamis Dakota...

Had an interesting walk along Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach.....this metal peacock looked interesting..

This elegant cruiser was for sale....$790....

a classic look but a hefty price....

I'm afraid the dumb electorate will elect these people and the state will be doomed.
